NASMA was created with the overarching goal of Promoting the Health and Growth of the Specialty Printing Industries, NASMA will establish committees responsible for defining and achieving specific objectives in the following categories.
1. Market Metrics and Technology Assessment
Determination and implementation of an ongoing process to gather and analyze market data covering a broad range of topics, including economic activity, geographic migration, technology obsolescence/substitution, and business process evaluation (e-business).
2.R&D and Market Development /Global Leverage
Assessment of opportunities for the joint funding of R&D and market development, such as a group effort to find or catalize new applications for specialty printing.
3. Technical Development and Standards
The development of NASMA approved standards, to include product specification, description and qualification, processing procedures, testing and monitoring, component application qualification, and approved training guidelines. 4.Health and Safety
Governmental regulations regarding the use of chemicals in our processes will continue to be a major concern to manufacturers in our industry. The objective of this committee will be to identify and to understand the specific issues affecting the printing community and to ensure that we are properly represented before government, to the ultimate good of the specialty printing sector as a whole. 5.Industrial Applications
Many of our products and services presently serve specific industrial applications. As world markets continue to change, new opportunities continually present themselves to the specialty printing industry. This committee will work to identity these prospects and inform NASMA members as potential market opportunities arise.
